I just left a meting that was attended by Sheriff Michael Bouchard. Pastor Jones was the Moderator, as they say in the Baptist church. I found that none of the people there had touched bases on the real issue at hand. That issue being the taking over of Pontiac by the White leaders of Oakland County. This is something I have know forever. Our assets are so rich that we as non-educated Black folk don't have a clue. What we lack in education is furthered by our inability to unite as a common establishment. With Douglas Jones stifling my questions, it would appear that he is in on the scam. Either he is in on the plan, or he is plain stupid, and I am still trying to figure out which it is.
A representative of the Doctor's Hospital formerly known as, General Hospital and North Oakland Medical Center came and gave a short talk. Pastor Jones was willing to give him as much time as he wanted. I'm really think that his benefit in all their "over charging" the state in Medicaid benefits. I bet you that they give his members jobs that allow them to be loyal tithers in the church. The truth stands at this point that St. Joseph is the only hospital that is self sustaining and the only hospital fit to get any of our time. Doctor's Hospital should close, because it is an obvious scam, POH should be left to fend for themselves, which they have been doing pretty well I might ad. The hospitals in this city is the last thing on my agenda to help establish this city back to where it was, but the safety and security of the people who live, work and get their lively hood here. That does not mean making a push towards Oakland County Sheriff's Department, because the idea that they will make us safe is hilarious! What will happen is in 20 years there will be no remaining citizens here that were here when they took over. Those who haven't died, will move south to Detroit, and our water, sewers and lakes will be out of our grasp forever!
Everyone at that meeting was looking out for their own best interest and have made this city sick. With their greed and crack addictions that caused us to fall into the whole we are in now, at a faster and deeper wait of speed than we would have if they weren't greedy crackheads. Now what? We have a Mayor who is fiscally able and an organizer and opportunist. He can redo the police department. Create a system that works, lay it out to the people and get them behind his ideas. Now that the crooked portion has been neutralized we can move forward and create a whole new force of good, moral and sound officers. We do not need Oakland
county to run our city, because down the road that would mean the death of our city.
All the "jack legged" preachers who agree with Pastor Jones and his wanting to keep things as they are, then you keep on with his antics. He's not from here anyway and sees no value in preserving our cities infrastructure. Sure men have come from other places and been good friends to Pontiac, but many of them were a part of the fraction that put us on this mess. Plus, those were our glory days, when Black folk without educations could make a living without good grammar, an education or a solid foundation. Nobody wants to be the last of a dying breed. Nobody wants these to be our final days. I want a city that can grow from within and build from what is here. No one wants to be pushed out of their land, and that is what will happen if this contract goes through.
We must establish long term goals and stop the short term band-aid solutions that only help for people to come in and take us over piece by piece. Where do we start? We start by coming together, and not looking out for our own best interest, but the interest of those who will come after us. What will we leave the youth of this city. That is a very important assignment that will allow us to regain the insight into our future. It's not about today, but about tomorrow. We need to create a formidable plan that includes us using our assets as benefits and our resources fiscally soundly. They are looking ahead and so are we. Stop letting self-absorbed people like Pastor Jones speak for us, because he is only looking out for his own best interest. He wants his church to keep being the "Mega Church" in Pontiac...If there is a such thing as a "Mega Church" in Pontiac. He needs to be brought to nothing and the real leader need to hold forums that will ask the tough questions that will determine our future that should be in our hands.
Our first step: Telling Pastor Douglas Jones to, "Shut up!" He wanted to talk, but he did not want to hear the point of those of us who had good sound questions, statements and answers. Maybe is is acting as the mole amongst us, and working with them to steal our city from us. He wants to be the man who has everything to say, but he's not saying the right things. Neither is he looking out for our best interest, but his own. Wait let me just save everyone the wasted breath..."Shut up, Pastor Jones!"
