Loving LJ...I still got the White Boy Blues!!!

I was so bent writing about Lee Jones and his slight, I failed to listen to the comments after the meeting had ended.  Man Leon Jukowski is a smart man, and he makes a lot of sense.  If I would have heard his comments man, I wouldn't still be calling for our police to stay in blue.  I'm with him that emotionally, I want them to be here, but I haven't seen any of the numbers.  Jukowski has seen them and made a sound decision.  I respect every word he said and concur.  I voted with him, because I know he knows business, and if he feels that this thing is good business...Then it is.  I am not going to go against his word, because that would be foolish.  I still think that we are in trouble.  I believe that the Sheriff's Department is the best, and I don't want to be affiliated with them, but sometimes in life we have to do things we don't like.  I'm going to take back everything I said about Jukowski before, because if there was another way, he would know it.  There is no chance for a mileage or restructuring.  Sitting on this couch and not being able to see the numbers is not good for me.  As a business major, I know the importance of numbers, capital and future earnings.  If none of those things are there than we are hit.

The key is that we find away to be sufficient.  Not being able to pay the bills is not good, but not being able to protect our people, as I have always stated will cause the city to lose businesses and potential businesses and residence.  That is always key to anyone occupying a city in either form.  How do you invest in something that you can't be sure won't be destroyed, vandalized or compromised in some way.  I mentioned higher insurance rates and things of that nature...It's not worth it.  To listen to someone who knows what they are talking about it crucial, but to know and understand what they are talking about is crucial.  I've always said that the people running Pontiac need to take a lesson in Business 101.  They key is always to sell more than you spend.  Having more money coming in than you going out.

I'm still trying to figure out that after the next 10 years and all of our officers have retired and moved on -  - who will be patrolling our streets?  I still believe with all the fiscal soundness in this decision, it is not the best choice for this city's future.  We will be moved out of our city and in another place if we don't watch out.  I'm so sad now.  I'm so helpless and beaten by our future.  We are going to need our own sound business men and women to keep this city afloat and a diverse and multicultural as it is now.  I don't see no need to subject myself to the the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.  But I never wanted to subject myself to many of the Pontiac Police Officer's who weren't very nice.  I just don't like mean people, I don't like bad people and I definitely don't like people who abuse their position blue or brown. (Huge Sigh)

If LJ says it, then I believe it's true and deny myself the chance to keep what has been a staple in my life, good or bad, the whole of my life and accept something new.  To be a person who steps back from their original stance is healthy.  To admit that you didn't have all the facts is even a better and healthy thing for a person.  It allows you to grow and learn from your errors and do better next time.  I hate that it has to be this way.  Lord knows I do!  How this is going to work for me and my household is still a foreign idea, too!  Oh Lord, what am I going to do?  I guess I'll do what I've always done!  Hold my head up and act like it doesn't bother me, which after a while it doesn't.  Mike, I'm still screaming in your ear and Pastor ones won't always be there to save you.  He will be there to hit you up for jobs for his partitioner though.I don't I want to do anything about that for you.

All other things I've written are still what I feel.  Just the stuff I wrote about Jukowski has changed.  He has made his stand.  He's a smart man, can't say that I trust him, but I do trust his business savvy and love for the city, even if he does want to turn it into "Jukowskiac"!  In the future, listen to him...He has a sound voice and a sound grasp of economic theory.  If ever there comes a time you shouldn't listen to him, I'll let you know.  First, however, I have to read the facts and actually hear what he has to say!
