I was just watching "The View" on ABC. I haven't really watch since Meredith Viera left, and the whole Star Jones fiasco. It just got so catty, and it didn't surprise me. Anytime you get such strong women at one table, there is bound to be conflicts. Star Jones was a Bitch, but Hasselbeck is taking a close second. the whole thing with her wedding. Getting all that free stuff, because she was on "The View" and refusing to show her pictures on the air was a true sign, she had gotten too big for the show. In her mind she thought she had arrived, but in reality it was the show that had given her the "juice" she had. Once she left the show, either fat or skinny, she had no real importance to people without those other women on her side.
Now, Elizabeth is coming into her time of being, "Too big for her bridges". I wished I had this blog back when she was having her fiery arguments with Rosie O' Donnell. I knew then that she had gotten far too big, in her own mind, and when Rosie quit, she began o believe that she had some superpowers that she doesn't possess. Rosie gave a her a false sense of longevity, and whenever she doesn't agree with or like a co-host, all she has to do is treat them badly and they will go away. So, I'm sitting watching television, because I have nothing to do, and I turn on their show. She is once again, spewing garbage about Obama and making the Republican Party seem the only right way in America. May I add that she never concedes that she is wrong or that the way George Bush ran this country in a whole ever happened. Whenever there is a political event for her party, she is the spokesperson and speaker a lot of the time. She stays strong in her political stance, because she wants those invites to keep coming.
Like so many people in her position, she has gotten greedy and publicity hungry. Her appearance on Survivor has given her a good job and a rich husband. Now she is grown so big in her own eyes, she doesn't even have to be nice. Today, she slighted her fellow co-host Sherri Sheperd. I heard that she is trying to conceive another child through alternative means. She had said on the show that having her son was rather difficult to do, and is going for other treatments to have a child. Elizabeth, as you know has had three children on the show. Today, after a heated conversation about politics in America and Congress going Red, she made a comment that put the saddest look on Sherri's face. It also let me know that as a woman, she's not as happy as she wants the world to think. She adjusted herself in her seat, cut her eyes at Sherri and said, "That must have been one of the times I was out kicking out one of those babies." Or something to that affect. Now Shannan Daugherty had made a comment about having co-hosted the show at one time. Elizabeth, obviously didn't remember those times, broke her ignorance with an insult towards Sherri or Shannan, but all I could see was Sherri's face get uncomfortable. My mind went immediately to Sherri's troubles and I felt that she was intentionally saying that to remind Sherri of her inability to produce.
She doesn't really do such mean and hateful things to Whoopi or Joy, because they would chew her up and eat her for lunch. Whoopi would probably kick her ass right on the stage, after she cussed her out first.
Sherri I believe is the weakest of them and much nicer. Plus, she's the newest member of the show. It seems that Elizabeth's relationship with her party and Babara's need not to have anymore conflicts with the show allows her to continue with her tirades and insults on other peoples lives. We all have opinions and should be allowed to air those without personal attacks. If the Republican Party condones this behavior, but most of them are as uptight and mean as Ms. Hasselbeck. She claims to be such a good mother and humanitarian, but how could a person be so "good" and treat people so badly. Not only badly, but with no compassion. How does she think her daughter will feel when she knows her mother is so mean and dysfunctional?
I'm ready to say that she isn't such a great mother or wife. I'm also ready to say that her "perfect" life isn't as perfect as she would make us believe. Anytime a woman "kicks" out children the way she had these last few years, and they act like she does. When you attack people and say mean and hateful things to tear them down, you couldn't possibly be happy. There is a piece of you that is so sad and angry that you want to spread that same hurt to others. I believe that, and if Sherri or Shannan had slighted her, on air cut-downs shouldn't be allowed. I think she is so sad, and was insecure by Shannan's presence, because that's how she got her job on the show. With all of her tirades and spreading of bad feeling, she might have felt the ladies were auditioning her replacement.
We've met these types before, and you know what I mean. Want to be "every woman", but don't have the tools to keep it all together. Instead of giving up something, she becomes hard and mean in an attempt to get her way. She is suddenly fighting the world, when it's not our fault your husbands not at home, you can't raise your children without a nanny and all in your "area of control" isn't perfect. You made the choice to do EVERYTHING, not me...So please get over yourself. I'm waiting for the truth about her "perfect" life to come to the surface. Since his football career is just about over, and he doesn't play anymore, maybe she is trying to keep their lives in the spotlight. His traveling and being away from home probably created really bad rifts in their marriage and she just had the children whenever she could fit one in. With the last two coming as his career begin to take a downward spiral.
Cookie-cutter women who want the best out of life and everything out of life get bitter. Like I said, I don't know why, because you chose to take on the world, and nobody ever said it would be easy. All of your humanitarian efforts come to nothing when I witness you mean and horrible antics on The View. You are one sad woman, who needs to really get over yourself. I remember the Elizabeth before your years on the show. She was so eager to please and humble. Sweet and kind and more like "the-girl-next door". These days in her designer dresses and stiletto heels, she is more reminiscent of a power broker on wall street, or a Marketing Exec trying to create a brand. It's a shame when power and fame go to your head. It's a even greater shame when you take that power and fame and treat others badly. You would think she would have learned from Star Jones to stay humble and not get so full of herself. With her husband"s career being over, and her's on The View flighting, she might need to do a Celebrity Survivor series or peddle "no-glucose" food products foods on some home shopping network. Either the Republicans will make her the next Sarah Palin or put her on the shelf. Stay tuned, because I am!
