This Week's Council Meeting (December 26, 2010)

Leon Juckowski
Mayor of Pontiac
I don't know what day the Council Meeting was on this week, but I caught it last night.  There was a special presentation by John Conyers.  Remember him?  His wife is now serving five(5) years in a Federal prison for bribery and extortion.  Being a person who has been only accused of a crime and not even convicted, it seems that this man has a lot of nerves.  Just like the Kilpatrick's he and his wife are obviously involved in some shady money schemes.  It's also obvious that they abuse the privileges they obtain from their office.  The whole deal with their son and the Cadillac Escalade showed us that.  Why is this man in our city?

He claimed that he was here to give credence to a resolution concerning water in underdeveloped countries.  Yet his greeting made me quite upset.  It seems that he was her to shame our city and disrespect our Mayor.  Leon Juckowski, for all of his low-profile abilities is a man of wealth.  I don't know if he got it through lies, schemes or stealing, but I've never heard of any of it.  Both Conyers and Juckowski have law degrees.  I can't seem to be found what Conyers undergraduate degree is in, but I know Juckowski's is in Economic Development.  Both men have illustrious careers and great successes.  Conyers working under John Dingell the oldest sitting Representative in Michigan's House.  Yet, Conyer addresses Lee Jones with great honor and respect.  He used the word "illustrious" when introducing him and simply addressed Jucowski as Mayor.

There is nothing Illustrious about Lee Jones.  He didn't even buy the house he lives in, he inherited it from his father.  There is also nothing productive and creative about him either.  His father old store sits as an eye sore on the corner of Luther and Motor as a testament of that.  His father left here over 20 years ago.  There was suppose to be plans to make it a laundry mat then back into a store, but nothing ever took shape for that building.  It just sits there empty, and doing nothing for the community that it is in.  He may no longer own it, I'm not sure, but I would like to think that if Juckowski owned it, it would be a laundry mat, corner store or something by now.  Just look at what he and his family has done for our downtown.  No slight to Mrs. Waterman, he has transformed the Waterman Building from an eyesore, into the most attractive building on Saginaw.

The transformation of the bank, formerly known as NBD as a Reception Center was a pretty good idea.  It's marble floors and fixtures, along with chandeliers and lightings make it a virtual romantic paradise.  The sapce being unique and fabulous to say the least.  How come people don't want to put him out there as his true light; stellar business man.  Instead they see is color and need to build Pontiac up and use the money for good and not evil that our city has.

Lee Jones is another faker and hasn't shown us from living in Pontiac, any positive and productive measures.  Kone Bowman would always bring up the fact that Juckowski sued the city and got a judgement against Pontiac.  That's what business people do, when they are wronged they sue and receive compensation.  The whole parking lot thing was ingenious to me and no more of a slight than the lawsuit.  Pontiac should have been smart enough to think of something similar for a parcel of land they owned.  That doesn't count against him in my opinion, because making money is what he does.  Ironically, that's what he was doing.  In other words, "Don't hate the player, hate the game".  A game he couldn't play very well, because he's no longer a sitting Council Member.  The people saw past Juckowski's business ventures, and made him Mayor.  They obviously didn't see past any of your lacking, because now you are nothing.  If Pontiac was smart, they wouldn't keep living on emotions and begin to live on business sense and exercising some marketability in Oakland County.  The people who work on our Council now, besides a few, have no business sense.  Lee Jones has none that I have ever seen, but they are trying to build him up as a "big" man in Pontiac.  Why?

Well, he loves notiriety and when he looked out and saw John Conyers his face lit up and he didn't know what to do next.  He wanted to get to the celebrity in the audience, he asked the Council what they wanted to do next.  John Conyers was there to build him up to the man he thinks he is.  Calling him, "illustrious" over our more than distinguished Mayor.  A man who has no education, has no background in business and has only done skill trade jobs his entire life.  He is a blue collar person, trying to make it in a white collar world.  There is some accounting similarities, but a man running a municipality must have a firm understanding of Marketing. How to put his product, which is his city out there for potential business and family residents.  He has no clue what that takes.  Administration is only one part of a city.  There is a three-fold approach to any business, which is Administrative, Public Relations and Marketing go hand and hand.  We have to show the entire world that we aren't "The Silverdome Fiasco", but a formative city.

For all his hob nobbing and fame seeking, Lee Jones doesn't "fit the bill".  The crooked fraction of the city want to use a crook like Conyers to build him up in the eyes of the people in Pontiac.  Don't be fooled, and don't take your eyes of the prize.  Lee Jones is fitting for the seat he has, directing his district.  He would not be a good fit for running our city, because he doesn't have the tools to do it.  He would just be a puppet for the crooks to rob this city blind.  Remember, he cut me short during my speech at the Council about Paul McDougal beating my friend Patricia.  He is in there with them, and can't be trusted to always be honest and forth coming with the people.  That slight proves that.

We can't afford to have the same things going on here that has been for years.  It's my prayer that we can rid this city of the corruption that has plagued us for years.  Mostly all of the men and women who brought this city to the Mecca it was during GM's push in the 50's and 60's have passed away.  They would be in disgrace to see how we have allowed poor construction, L. Brooks Patterson and drugs to run this city into the ground.  I am asking that you be color blind and not look at Leon Juckowski as a White Man, but as a very good business man.  I'm not saying give him your first-born, but I do ask that you allow him a chance.  Lee Jones is not a good fit for our Mayor, because he is Black or African-American.  He has never completed anything.  His home isn't even his accomplishment.  Open your eyes and see!!!

I'm not going to even mention that he belongs to Douglas Jones' Welcome! UGH
